Practical, field-tested strategies for Indian turf owners to fill slow weekday morning and afternoon slots, build corporate leagues, and maximize court revenue.
MyGameGrid is India's community sports platform where players book courts and join games. We see booking demand from the player side every day. Weekends sell out while Tuesday mornings sit empty. This guide covers what actually fills those empty slots.
Put your turf on Google before anything else
Most players find a turf the same way they find a restaurant. They search "turf near me" and tap the first result with photos, timings, and reviews.
Claim your Google Business Profile if you have not. Add real photos of the pitch under floodlights, not stock images. Players want to see the surface they will play on. Keep your hours current, including festival days. Ask two or three regular groups to leave reviews. Ten honest reviews beat a hundred Instagram followers when someone is choosing where to play tonight.
Put a booking link right in the profile. Every extra step between "I want to play" and "slot confirmed" loses you groups. A player comparing three turfs books the one that confirms in one tap.
List where players already search
MyGameGrid venue discovery: players browsing rated turfs on the booking page
Your own Instagram page reaches people who already know you. Booking platforms reach people looking for a slot right now.
Compare the math before you sign up anywhere. Some platforms take a cut of every booking. On a Rs 2,000 weekend slot, even a small percentage adds up across hundreds of slots a month. A free listing with zero commission and direct UPI payments keeps the full slot value with you. That difference pays for new nets within a season.
Listing also puts your turf inside game discovery. On MyGameGrid, hosts browse venues on the booking page and players join open games on the Play page. A turf that hosts a weekly open game gets booked by people who never searched for it.
